











Flow Arts Women's Retreat
Friday, June 20th - Saturday, June 22nd
Crestone, Colorado
This retreat is ideal for women who want to get more in touch with their bodies and the meditative state of ‘Flow.’ We will be immersed in nature throughout the weekend, camping, practicing various flow arts such as hooping, juggling, yoga and hiking. You’ll leave this retreat feeling connected, creative and rested!
Event Overview
On Friday, we will meet at a campsite near Crestone Colorado and get to know one another, share dinner and enjoy a night with some of the best star-gazing in the state. On Saturday morning, we will enjoy morning yoga led by a lovely female instructor, and spend our afternoon learning about the art of hooping (hula hoop dancing) and accessing the flow state through dance and movement with props. Sunday morning with will enjoy a mediation and sound bath and and optional trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Preserve (1 hour south of our retreat location)
Facilitator and Guides:
This experience will be facilitated by Fran, the founder of Empowered to Explore. Fran is a certified Women’s Guidance Facilitator, a Wilderness First Responder, and has been professionally facilitating outdoor learning experiences for 7 years. She brings an introspective element into exploring the outdoors which allows you to more deeply connect with yourself, your intuition, and your confidence through your adventures.
The Flow arts portion of our retreat will be led by the one and only Mak Mitchell a.k.a. @dinosflow. Mak has been a flow artist for many years and is an absolute wizard with her hoop. She performs and leads beginner friendly workshops at festivals all across the country and approaches her teaching with kindness and patience so that you can be stress-free!
Logistics
All meals (2 Dinners, 2 Breakfasts, 2 lunches), camping fees, and materials are included in the price of registration. If you have hula hoops, or any other flow toys, you’re more than welcome to bring them! If you need any camping gear, we have rental items available, just indicate your need for gear on your registration form.
