Join the women of Empowered to Explore for a weekend of camping and fly fishing on a beautiful ranch outside of Alamosa, Colorado! This retreat will weave together experiences of adventure, nature immersion, relaxation and sisterhood.
Our goal is that every woman on our retreat leaves feeling more connected: Connected with herself, connected with the women around her, and connected with her confidence as a strong outdoorswoman.
Our time together will include 2 days of guided fishing instruction, on site camping for the duration of the weekend, morning yoga in the sunshine, journaling, meditating, dancing, laughing, sharing meals, sharing stories of femininity, so many beautiful things!
Your guides are two Southern Colorado women:
Fran Letts: founder of Empowered to Explore is a certified Women’s Guidance Facilitator, a Wilderness First Responder, and a facilitator for at risk youth with mental health struggles. She brings an introspective element into exploring the outdoors which allows you to more deeply connect with yourself, your intuition, and your confidence through your adventures.
Stella VonDedenroth: a local fly fishing guide for 3 years who knows the area well as a lifetime local! Stella spends her whole year teaching others, whether that be fishing, skiing, or snowboarding. Because of her decade of teaching, she knows how to kindly and effectively teach folks how to conquer those outdoor activities that may appear daunting.
**All meals, snacks, fishing gear and instruction will be covered in the total cost of registration. Personal camping gear is required, and rental gear will be available upon request.
